Job summary

National Skills Agency Ltd. is seeking a skilled Skills Coach to support and shape apprenticeship programmes across the UK.

You will coach learners, provide targeted feedback, and help embed learning in real-world practice while collaborating with employers and colleagues to drive meaningful learning interventions. You will work remotely with learners and employers, delivering personalised coaching, facilitating workshops, and documenting progress in e-portfolios to demonstrate impact and growth

Qualifications

• Experience coaching apprentices within a UK-based training provider.
• Strong understanding of e-portfolios and digital learning tools.
• Demonstrated ability to help learners embed knowledge in practice and make a measurable impact.
• Recognised teaching qualification (AET/CET/DET/PGCE).
• Assessor qualification (A1/CAVA).

Responsibilities

• Learner coaching & support: manage a caseload of apprentices with 1:1 coaching.
• Assessment & feedback: assess projects and portfolios with constructive feedback.
• Progress monitoring: conduct regular progress reviews and set measurable goals.
• Learning embedded in practice: help learners apply knowledge in real-world roles.
• Workshop facilitation: deliver engaging sessions, virtual or in person.
• E-portfolio management: document progress using platforms like Bud.
• Employer collaboration: align learning with organisational goals.
• Safeguarding & compliance: uphold safeguarding and Ofsted/DfE standards.
• Impact & value add: identify opportunities to stretch learners and drive success.
• Continuous improvement: feed insights to curriculum and delivery improvements.
