Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Apprenticeship Coach for the Radio Network Technician programme. This predominantly home-based role supports apprentices across the UK, with regular engagement at Bovington.

The successful candidate will coach, assess and mentor, building effective learning journeys and ensuring high-quality learner outcomes. You’ll deliver initial assessments, create learning plans, and provide timely feedback while managing a caseload.

Qualifications

• Experience in radio communications or defence communications.
• Ability to coach, mentor and assess apprentices.
• Willingness to develop coaching and assessment practices.
• Good IT and digital skills.
• Ability to work from home with occasional travel.
• Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver initial assessments and create personalised learning journeys aligned to apprenticeship standards.
• Coach and mentor apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for successful completion of their apprenticeship.
• Provide timely, constructive and professional feedback that supports learner progress and achievement.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices, ensuring timely reviews, accurate documentation and ongoing progression towards achievement targets.
• Conduct workplace observations, assessments and review meetings both virtually and face-to-face where required.
• Utilise learning systems, e-portfolios and digital tools to maintain learner records and support programme delivery.
• Build strong relationships with apprentices, military personnel, line managers and stakeholders to support positive learner outcomes.
• Support onsite delivery and learner engagement at Bovington when required.
• Contribute to quality assurance, standardisation and continuous improvement activities across the apprenticeship team.
