Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Radar Instructor to support operator and maintainer training across sensor systems. The role is UK-based with sites in Fareham and opportunities to train at customer locations globally.

You will develop educational material, deliver courses, troubleshoot sensor systems, and work with customers to meet training needs. Willingness to travel, hold a UK driving licence, and obtain SC-level National Security Vetting are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Willing to travel within UK and globally; up to 3 weeks per training event.
• Full UK driving licence.
• UK or Swedish citizenship due to security vetting.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level, or ability to gain it.
• Previous military experience or exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on sensor systems.
• Administer and report training events as required.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and respond to feedback.
• Offer SME input on system and software development.
• Contribute to sensor technical publications and demonstrations.
