Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Radar Instructor to support its sensor systems portfolio, delivering operator and maintainer training at Fareham, UK and Gothenburg, Sweden, as well as at customer sites worldwide.

The role involves developing educational material, planning courses, and collaborating with customers and colleagues while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity. A UK driving licence, willingness to travel, and security clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with radar, communications or electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Willing to travel within UK and globally; up to 3 weeks per training event.
• UK or Swedish citizenship due to security requirements.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level, or ability to gain it.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous military experience or exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on a variety of sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events as required.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and react to student feedback.
• Offer subject matter expert advice on system and software development.
• Provide feedback and input into sensor technical publications.
• Provide support to demonstrations, trials, exercises and market growth activities.
• Develop, create and maintain the necessary educational material, and assist in the compilation of technical publications.
