Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a UK-based Radar Instructor to support our sensor systems training portfolio. The role involves planning and delivering operator and maintainer courses, admin duties, and hands-on fault-finding on customer sensor systems across the UK and internationally.

You will work with UK and Swedish colleagues, travel up to 3 weeks per event, and contribute to technical publications while developing within Saab. A UK driving licence and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Previous experience in a technical customer-facing environment, demonstrating problem-solving and leadership in a high-pressure environment.
• Computer literate.
• Full UK driving licence.
• UK or Swedish citizenship.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or ability to gain it.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver both operator and maintainer courses on a variety of sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events as required.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and react to student feedback, internally and externally.
• Offer subject matter expert advice on system and software development.
• Provide feedback and input into sensor technical publications.
• Provide support to demonstrations, trials, exercises and other company market growth activities.
