Job summary

Saab UK is recruiting a field support technician to service, install, repair, and maintain the Giraffe 1X radar and other Saab sensors. You will build relationships with in-country operators and Saab Engineering Teams to ensure reliable fielding and ongoing support.

You will work with radar systems, electronics, and high-power components, with travel including international assignments to areas of high risk.

Qualifications

• Understanding complex radar/electronic systems is essential.
• Willingness to deploy to high-risk areas.
• Meet physical/medical requirements for Deployment Ready Training.
• Experience in technical, customer-facing fault-finding in high-pressure settings.
• Full UK driving licence and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support customers on-site domestically and internationally for radar fielding and maintenance.
• Manning customer support desks, training end users, and assisting OEM production.
• Support trials, exercises and deployments globally for military operations.
• System integration, verification, and configuration management support.
• Report and manage projects and training events as required.
