Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a customer-focused field support technician to service, install, repair, and maintain the Giraffe 1X multi-mission radar and other radar systems. The role involves on-site work with domestic and international customers, challenging travel, and close collaboration with Saab Engineering Teams.

Ideal candidates will have a track record in technical customer-facing roles, willingness to deploy to high-risk areas, and the ability to pass Deployment Ready Training.

Qualifications

• Understand complex systems of systems, ideally radar or military electronic systems.
• Willing to deploy at short notice to high-risk areas.
• Able to meet Deployment Ready Training medical requirements.
• Experience in technical customer-facing fault-finding in high-pressure environments.
• Hold a Full UK driving licence.
• Computer literate and able to use common software tools.
• Able to obtain UK Security Clearance up to SC level.
• UK or Swedish citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Support customers on-site domestically and internationally for radar fielding and maintenance.
• Manning customer support desks, training end users, and assisting OEM production.
• Support trials, exercises, deployments globally for military operations and market growth.
• Assist with system integration, verification, and configuration management.
• Report on running projects and training events as required.
