Job summary

Aureos Group in Andover is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the Andover office. You will contribute to project delivery, profitability, and commercial reporting, working closely with the Commercial Manager.

The role requires NEC experience, a relevant degree, and the ability to interpret contract conditions. You will support cost control, sub-contract management, and monthly financial performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent.
• NEC Experience.
• Working towards Professional Qualification.
• Driving license.
• Suitable post degree experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret construction industry conditions of contract.
• Proficient in Microsoft packages (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Input into the application and credit control processes.
• Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations.
• Understanding of the change control system.
• Understanding of project risk.
• Understanding of the production of CVRs.
• Understanding of CTC.
• Understanding the production of forecasting data.
• Understanding the costing process.
• Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation.
• Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
• Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements.
• Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
• Attend project progress meetings.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports.
• Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.
