Job summary

Aureos based in Andover is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the team at our Andover office. The role focuses on supporting contract delivery, commercial reporting and maximising profit within a growing business.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will contribute to forecasts, cost controls and the preparation of financial performance reports while expanding your understanding of the business and the quantity surveying function.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent.
• NEC Experience.
• Working towards Professional Qualification.
• Driving license.
• Suitable post degree experience.
• Knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Input into the application and credit control processes.
• Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations.
• Understanding of the change control system.
• Understanding of project risk.
• Understanding of the production of CVRs.
• Understanding the costing process.
• Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
• Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
• Attend project progress meetings.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports.
• Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.
