Qualifications

  • Strong organisational and diligent skills.
  • Experience in the water industry or wider utilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Senior QS in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Be the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence.
  • Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of contract.
  • Estimating and cost planning for projects.
  • Attend meetings and undertake site visits.

Quantity Surveyor

Permanent, Full time (40 hours)

Competitive Salary, plus benefits

Location : Home / Hybrid / Leeds / Birmingham office base, but role will cover Aqua clients across the North and the Midlands of England, e.g. Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities & Severn Trent Water, so must be willing to commute to client offices and sites as required.

The role will be based either at home / hybrid or at Aqua Consultants’ Offices or key client offices, supporting the commercial team of surveyors in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Assist with Senior QS in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Be the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence for with clients.
  • Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of contract.
  • Estimating and cost planning.
  • Procurement advice.
  • Tender documentation completion.
  • Contract administration and cost control.
  • Cost reporting.
  • Final account preparation.
  • Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
  • Client facing and confident in leading meetings.
  • Managing and take lead on multiple projects for their clients
Qualifications

Skills and experience :

Essential
  • NEC3 / 4 working knowledge
  • Post Contract experience
  • Project cost management skills including organisational and diligent skills.
Desirable
  • Water Industry or wider utilities experience preferred
  • Working towards MRICS / MCICES
  • Pre Contract / Contract Documentation experience
