Quality Technician

Salary

£28,000 - £33,000 (Depending on Experience)

Shift Pattern

8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday

Location

Oakham, Rutland

Our client, a fast growing manufacturer based in Oakham, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team! The ideal candidate would be responsible for ensuring the quality standards are maintained and that all the policies and procedures are adhered to.

The Quality Technician Role
  • Creation and control of supporting documents to ensure that robust documented policies and procedures are in place to support the business
  • Investigate external quality issues, identifying root cause and completion of corrective action reports
  • Working with colleagues on internal quality concerns
  • Promote and maintain high quality standards
  • Administration duties
  • Maintaining the quality management systems with test reports and other relevant documentation
  • Inspection of products throughout the manufacturing process, from Goods In through to finished product and completion of associated documentation
The Quality Technician Candidate
  • Previous experience in a QA role within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 Management Systems
  • Knowledge of various QA tools and techniques
  • Experience of precision measuring equipment
  • Producing and controlling technical documents
  • Ability to interpret technical standards, drawings and specifications
  • Degree, HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Internal auditor qualification
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills to drive continuous improvement
