A leading specialist in precision manufacturing is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to oversee the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with quality standards. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in Quality Engineering within automotive or precision environments, along with the ability to conduct quality audits and implement improvements. A full UK driving licence is required, and the salary ranges from £35,000 to £40,000, open to negotiation for the right skill set.
Infinity Employment is looking for a passionate Quality Systems Engineer for an industry leading specialist, manufacturing precision components for aviation, tooling, automotive, F1 and defence industries. Reporting to Head of Production. The prime objective of the position is to be responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and / or on completion by Senior Management. The role will not have any direct reports.
Salary is £35,000-£40,000 (Open for negotiation for the desired skill set)
Minimum five years Quality Engineering experience within an automotive or precision manufacturing environment.
Demonstrable experience in the application of the quality core tools in high variance batch production and low volume one-piece flow scenarios.
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
Previous experience within a precision machining and / or manual assembly environment is strongly preferred.
Educated to HNC / HND level.
Certified Internal Quality Auditor is an advantage.
Must hold a full UK driving licence.
Able to combine determination and resolve with diplomacy and tact to influence peers and non-reports to achieve desired outcomes.
Demonstrable ability with APQP, PPAP and PSW processes.
Demonstrate ability with problem solving techniques (8D or similar)
Previous hands-on experience with CMM and other measuring equipment is desirable.
Must be computer literate, comfortable using ERP software and MS Office daily.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
