Job summary

A well-established engineering company in Poole is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure components meet quality requirements. In this full-time, permanent role, you will inspect aerospace components, produce FAIRs, and support corrective actions. Qualifications

• Proven experience in aerospace, defence, or precision manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 standards.
• Experience creating FAIRs.
• Proficient in the use of measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).
• Experience with CMM and/or optical inspection systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace and precision-engineered components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Carry out in-process, final, and goods-in inspections.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure full traceability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring components and assemblies meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace and precision-engineered components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Carry out in-process, final, and goods-in inspections using a range of manual and digital measurement tools.
• Operate or interpret data from CMMs and optical measurement systems.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure full traceability of materials and products.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained.
