Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer position is responsible for ensuring all products and incoming materials meet quality standards to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Identify, raise, and resolve quality issues quickly to prevent customer impact. Support new product introductions to ensure robust builds. Promote best practices focused on defect prevention, waste reduction, and continuous improvement. Manage customer and third-party quality accreditations, providing technical support as needed. Work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Description
  • Ensure compliance with all quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Manage calibration of gauges, instruments, and equipment via Gagepack and third-party suppliers.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work cards.
  • Write and update procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Conduct internal audits to AS9100/AS13100 standards.
  • Manage customer returns, supplier corrective actions, and quality issue feedback.
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions using 8D methodology.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and third parties.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate, timely work.
Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • Experience working as a Quality Engineer (aerospace experience is ideal but not essential).
  • Well-versed carrying out root-cause analysis/8D's, dealing with non-conformances, and problem solving.
  • Willing to learn how to support and carry out audits (no experience required, but must be willing to be trained and put on a course).
  • Dynamic and proactive personality. Someone who can work independently, problem solve.
  • Must be confident using excel and be computer literate.
