About your role

Based at the Manufacturing plant in Coleford and reporting into the Technical Services Manager, this role will be focused on developing, maintaining and continually improving the quality management systems at the site, as well as monitoring compliance with all relevant industry and certification standards.

What You'll Do

In this role, you monitor and drive compliance with Quality and Food Safety Systems, ensuring alignment with certification standards. You take ownership of the site’s quality management systems, including Change Control, CAPA, FIP, Document Control, SAP QM, Quarantines, Quality Gemba, Coheris, and Complaints. You support your colleagues during external audits of suppliers, third-party manufacturers, and contract rework, helping ensure successful outcomes. You also play a key role in external certification audits, customer audits, and SBFE/SBF audits, and you lead the investigation, reporting, and resolution of consumer and customer complaints. You contribute to the development of User Requirement Specifications (URS) for quality-related IT projects and actively participate in quality and food safety review meetings, such as HACCP, Food Safety Team, and QEHS departmental sessions. You ensure that documentation meets food safety and quality standards, identifying all control points required by the HACCP plan. Additionally, you support continuous improvement initiatives within Quality and help deliver site and departmental annual targets and objectives, including participating in COVI activities.

What You need to be successful

In this role, you bring knowledge and experience of relevant industry and certification standards, including ISO, FSSC, and GMP. You have a strong technical understanding of SBFE/SBF manufacturing standards and hands-on operational experience with HACCP, ideally at CIEH Level 3 or equivalent. You’re experienced in compliance auditing, reporting, and closing out corrective actions, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your flexible and proactive approach allows you to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of the wider QEHS team. You communicate confidently and clearly, with excellent influencing skills across all levels of the business. You handle confidential information with integrity and discretion, and you’re comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. You make effective use of available IT tools, demonstrating a good level of digital capability. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills support your ability to assess manufacturing sites and conduct thorough audits.
