Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Randstad is seeking a qualified Nursery Assistant to collaborate with partnered schools in Crawley. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for working with young children, excellent communication skills, and a nurturing approach. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the daily nursery operations and fostering the holistic development of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities to promote children's learning and development
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and secure environment where children can explore and learn
  • Support children with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and nap routines
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective communication
  • Observe and document children's progress, highlighting achievements and areas for further development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a warm, inclusive, and welcoming nursery environment
  • Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Paediatric First Aid certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth
