QA Manager – Food Manufacturing

Permanent | Monday - Friday | £35,000 - £42,000

Northwich

Are you a quality champion with a passion for food safety and continuous improvement? This is your opportunity to take ownership of site‑wide Quality Assurance and play a pivotal role in elevating standards across a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of the QMS, ensuring systems, documentation, and processes are continuously improved, up to date, and audit‑ready.
  • Lead non‑conformance management from investigation to closure – identifying root causes, driving corrective actions, and reducing repeat issues.
  • Streamline and simplify processes, removing complexity and championing smarter, leaner ways of working across QA and Production teams.
  • Conduct robust risk assessments, ensuring proactive management of food safety, quality, and compliance across all product categories.
  • Raise GMP standards on site by coaching teams, leading internal audits, and embedding best practice in every operational area.
  • Oversee allergen management, ensuring controls, validations, and verifications meet both customer and legislative expectations.
  • Leverage digital systems to enhance quality performance – experience with Food Connected is a strong advantage.
  • Lead, train, and inspire the QA team, creating a high‑performance culture focused on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience within a UK food manufacturing technical or quality role – essential.
  • Experience with supply food products to retailers – essential.
  • Experience with allergens – highly advantageous.
