Job summary

FIRSTGROUP PLC, based in the United Kingdom, seeks a Pupil Support Administrator at Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge. This fixed-term maternity cover role requires 38.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri, starting Oct 2026 with a salary of £29,500 per annum (not pro rata).

Qualifications

Experience supporting pupil attendance and working with families.
Ideally experienced in a school or educational setting.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Competent IT skills and accurate record-keeping abilities.
Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

Monitor attendance and punctuality, identifying concerns and supporting improvements.
Work with pupils and families to overcome barriers to attendance and engagement.
Coordinate attendance interventions, support plans and reintegration programmes.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, staff and external agencies.
Conduct attendance meetings, home visits and outreach support where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation while promoting positive attendance across the school.
