Job summary

JD Wetherspoon Plc in Cardiff is seeking a Shift Manager to lead and motivate the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets. You’ll run shifts unsupervised, delivering excellent customer service, serving to SOPs, and maintaining a clean, safe and legal workplace.

You’ll manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback and support the team to achieve high standards. This role offers progression to pub management opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK
• Bank account in your own name
• Be able to converse in English and understanding of training duties
• Fixed residence within reasonable travelling distance of your place of work
• Basic computer literacy

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the operation, leading by example, motivating and coaching the team
• Deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness, quality, service, maintenance and atmosphere (CQSMA)
• Ensure pub-opening and -closing procedures are adhered to
• Be welcoming to customers and maintain high levels of customer management on every shift
• Be aware of promotions, events and new products and share knowledge with the team
• Maintain clean-as-you-go standards and respond positively to customer feedback
