Job summary

JD Wetherspoon Plc is seeking a proactive shift manager to lead daily pub operations in Monmouth. You will supervise and motivate the team, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards across all tasks.

In this role you will delegate tasks, provide feedback, manage reservations and promote promotions while developing staff and pursuing future pub management opportunities.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with team motivation and coaching.
• Strong communication skills for staff and guests.
• Customer service focus and problem solving in a busy environment.
• Clear English language, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide pub operations, leading by example and coaching the team.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, quality, service, maintenance and atmosphere.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are followed and safety standards met.
• Manage check-ins/check-outs and guest aftercare, and monitor promotions and events.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, reception and night shift leaders, including overnight work.
