Job summary

JD Wetherspoon Plc is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead and motivate the pub team, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with SOPs and standards. You will run shifts unsupervised, manage priorities, delegate tasks and support the team to achieve high quality service in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee daily operations, monitor stock and costs, and contribute to business reviews with area managers.

Qualifications

• Have a proof of right to work
• Have a bank account in your own name
• Be able to converse in English and to understand the language to complete training and other duties associated with your job role.
• Have a fixed place of residence within reasonable travelling distance of your place of work.
• Basic computer literacy

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and motivate the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
• Run shifts unsupervised and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, delegating tasks effectively.
• Oversee cleanliness, service quality, and adherence to SOPs and company policies.
• Engage with customers, promote promotions and new products, and respond to feedback.
• Assist with stock control, cost management and weekly meetings with area managers.
