Job summary

JD Wetherspoon Plc in Watford is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead a busy pub team, supervise shifts and drive sales and standards. You’ll motivate staff, manage priorities, and ensure compliance with SOPs and company policies.

• Oversee and guide the operation, leading by example and coaching the team.
• Deliver high standards of cleanliness, quality, service, and atmosphere.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed.
• Be welcoming to customers and manage customer relations on every shift.
• Share knowledge on promotions and events to keep teams informed.
• Maintain cleanliness through a clean-as-you-go approach.
• Respond to customer feedback and identify training needs.
