Job summary

The Capital Asset, Perth, part of J D Wetherspoon, is seeking a shift manager to support the pub manager and run shifts. You’ll lead the team, ensure service standards, cash handling and compliance, and help in front of house and kitchen areas.

We offer a 40-hour week, salary £29,013, 28 days’ holiday, pension, meal and drinks at work, and a bonus scheme up to 25% of salary. Opportunities for future pub management are available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team during shifts and ensuring service standards.
• Ability to manage cash handling and compliance with company procedures.
• Flexible across a 40-hour week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• When running a shift, take responsibility for pub operation, compliance with company operating standards and legislation, dealing with customers, administration and cash management.
• Lead, support and motivate the team.
• Prioritise tasks, delegate and problem-solve.
• Work shifts across front of house and in the kitchen.
• Deliver high standards in cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere.
