Teaching Assistant - SEN School (Secondary)

Location: Chorley Area

Age Range: Secondary-aged pupils

Monday - Wednesday - 8.30am - 4.30 and Thursday and Friday 3.45pm finish

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in the Chorley area, supporting children and young people aged 6 to 19 with a range of ASC.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis
  • Assisting with learning, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping pupils manage anxiety and access education in a calm, consistent setting
  • Working closely with teaching staff and specialist support teams
The School:
  • A nurturing and inclusive specialist SEN setting
  • On-site multi-disciplinary MOT team providing targeted support
  • Strong emphasis on wellbeing for both pupils and staff
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or a Graduate seeking SEN experience
  • Understanding of autism and social anxiety, or a strong willingness to learn
  • Patient, empathetic, and confident in building positive relationships
