Job summary
WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer in the UK Energy business. You will deliver protection and control designs for power transmission projects, produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD and ETAP, and perform calculations to ensure system reliability.
You will collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers in a multidisciplinary team to enable Net Zero goals. The role emphasizes state‑of‑the‑art tools, ongoing professional development, and a flexible hybrid work
Qualifications
- Design protection and control schemes for electrical networks.
- Interpret technical documentation related to protection and control.
- Work with IEC standards and substation equipment suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Design protection and control schemes for transmission and distribution networks.
- Create engineering drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD/ETAP.
- Perform technical calculations to ensure reliability of protection systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate design requirements.
- Support installation, commissioning, and design reviews.
