Overview

Project Management opportunity with a leading UK manufacturing business based in Sheffield. The client is growing its Project capabilities with the introduction of an additional Project Manager who will have responsibility for projects from cradle to grave for a key new customer.

About the Client

I'm currently partnered with a hugely successful Sheffield based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of engineered products to a large customer base across the UK, Europe, USA and beyond. With a growing customer base and an ever-increasing order volume, my client is looking to grow their Project capabilities with the introduction of an additional Project Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, to the required standards and within budget.
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, supply chain and production operations to deliver the project for the customer.
  • Being involved in the contract reviews, quoting and update meetings with all relevant stakeholders, holding both internal and external bodies to account.
  • Identifying project risks and opportunities across the contract lifecycle, mitigating these as quickly as possible, and maintaining the relevant risk registers, issue logs and action plans.
  • Ensuring project status and performance is visible throughout the business, keeping all departments updated of any changes.
Profile
  • Strong project management background with a good understanding of high value, low volume manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to lead and engage across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability at managing the project lifecycle from conception to completion, delivering on time, within budgets and to the desired standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and work alongside customers from the UK, EU, USA and beyond.
  • Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skillset at a high level.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, acting as an agent for change and bringing forward ideas to challenge the status quo.
