Overview

The Cardiff office of a growing multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is looking to hire an experienced "Project Manager" to join their Cardiff team. Their portfolio of projects and clients is varied from £100k to £100m in value, spanning Private and Public sector work, frameworks and one-off projects. Sector experience includes Aviation, Energy, Datacentres, Education, Commercial Build and High Rise Residential. The role

The successful "Project Manager" will typically have experience from a Construction Consultancy or a Tier One Main Contractor and will have run projects from inception to handover. With full autonomy to lead and manage your own projects, key duties will include:

  • Pre-construction coordination
  • Management of internal and external consultant teams
  • Client and contractor communication and collaboration
  • Project reporting
  • Development of procurement strategies
  • Contract administration
  • Project programming
  • Project risk registers
  • Commercial oversight
Qualifications and experience
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience minimum with a Construction Consultancy or Tier One contractor (essential)
  • Knowledge of NEC is ideal
  • PM or QS background
  • Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams
  • Pre-construction experience (design management, tendering, procurement, estimating, consenting)
  • Contract administration experience
  • A team player with a can-do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Bonus: work winning/bid writing
