Job summary

An engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee R&D projects within its CMM & Gauging Products Division. This role, based in Wotton under Edge, requires a strong communicator with project management experience. The successful candidate will coordinate teams, manage projects through their lifecycle, and drive issues to resolution. Project Manager

Wotton under Edge

up to £38,000 depending on experience

Renishaw is looking for a Project Manager to join the CMM & Gauging Products Division (CGPD) and oversee R&D projects for our innovative, leading‑edge metrology systems. The role is ideal for someone with some experience in managing projects and looking to build a career in a dynamic and innovative engineering environment. The successful candidate will support the delivery of key current and future products. The role will be based at our New Mills site near Wotton‑under‑Edge, Gloucestershire, with occasional travel to other sites.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of new product, current product and accessory projects using Renishaw's Product Innovation Process.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities of project teams in order to achieve project deliverables and objectives.
  • Create and maintain project plans and documentation, ensuring process and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive through problems, ensuring completion of tasks to agreed time, cost and quality targets.
  • Regularly report on project status and risks as agreed with stakeholders, communicating through conversations, reports and presentations.
  • Learn lessons and provide input that helps to improve our processes and performance of project delivery.
  • Build and maintain good team dynamics.
Key requirements
  • HNC / degree educated in a relevant discipline (STEM or management), or equivalent experience
  • Some experience in running projects (ideally across multi-disciplined teams e.g. Mechanical, Electronics, Software etc).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, organised, completer finisher and adaptable.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively when under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable requirements
  • Awareness of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working in a technical or engineering environment.
