Project Management Officer Parks & Streetscene

Grade 3C | Hybrid | Salford City Council

Help shape a fairer, greener, healthier Salford.

We’re looking for a driven Project Management Officer to play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality parks and streetscene projects across the city. If you’re passionate about improving local places, confident managing projects from concept to completion, and able to build strong relationships across services and communities, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate exciting environmental projects that support the city’s growth.

  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and funding bids.

  • Work with contractors, partners and communities to bring projects to life.

  • Monitor budgets, manage assets and ensure work meets safety and quality standards.

  • Secure external funding to expand what we can deliver.

  • Represent the council and help shape future strategies and plans.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings strong project management skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

  • Communicates confidently and can influence and negotiate at all levels.

  • Understands the value of great public spaces.

  • Can analyse insight, prioritise effectively and deliver results.
