Are you an experienced and motivated Project Engineer ready to take the next step in your career?

Futures are supporting a leading manufacturer in their search for a Project Engineer. The role offers the opportunity to own a diverse portfolio of engineering projects from concept through to completion. As Project Engineer you will be responsible for generating detailed product specifications so a sold understand of mechanical design principles is required.

This role could suit a mechanical design engineer, applications engineer or similar with a good understanding of project management principles.

Project Engineer - Role & Responsibilities - Project Manager / Design / R&D / Manufacture / Production / Projects

• Manage a diverse portfolio of concurrent projects, balancing long-term OE (Original Equipment) projects with quick turn around projects.
• Act as the central point of contact for customers, engineering, and production teams.
• Lead OE projects through early build stages and handover into production.
• Coordinate communication between customer technical teams and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Drive progress through pricing, planning, chasing actions, and proactively ensuring deadlines are met.
• Spend time on the shop floor to validate progress and resolve issues.
• Manage project design aspects through a matrix-managed design team.

• A relevant engineering qualification (HND/HNC, Degree etc) and strong CAD skills
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.

• Comfortable prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment.
