Project Coordinator

Salary £37,560 - £46,950 per annum plus strong benefits package and excellent career progression opportunities/support.

Location: Aspect House - Blantyre (office based with site visits throughout the district)

Permanent / Full Time (37 hours per week)

We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to join our Distribution business within SP Energy Networks. Working as part of the Licence Programmes business unit, the Proactive Team plays a key role in modernising LV assets across the SPD licence area. We're looking for someone who can help us deliver proactive schemes that make a real difference to our customers and communities.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Coordinator, you'll provide gold‑standard customer service to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all projects. You'll also establish and grow relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and customers to ensure works have minimal negative impact, maximise value add activities, and, where possible, complement local activities and aspirations.

You'll:

  • Assign work to service partners and ensure clear scope and expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive Health & Safety, Quality, and Performance.
  • Manage project milestones, customer engagement, and site surveys.
  • Work closely with designers and quantity surveyors to ensure accurate surveys and BoQs.
  • Monitor spend forecasts, raise POs, review PayApps, and track project progress.
  • Provide weekly reports and future work plans to maintain steady workflow.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong stakeholder and customer engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of construction standards, health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience in a project delivery role within electricity networks or the wider utilities industry.
  • Experience with SAP and contract/SLA management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • SVQ/NVQ electrical or engineering qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the district
