Production Supervisor - Engineering Operations

East Anglia

£55,000-£60,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to drive operational excellence, oversee a high-performing technical team, and make a real impact on performance and workforce development.

In this senior leadership role, you will manage complex production operations, from maintenance planning and scheduling to resource allocation, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery across the facility. You will work closely with teams across engineering, planning, logistics, and materials to optimise workflows, deliver high-quality outcomes, and support strategic business objectives.

You will be a key driver of continuous improvement, implementing Lean initiatives, monitoring KPIs, analysing trends, and taking action to enhance operational efficiency. Your leadership will guide, coach, and develop your team, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will also manage subcontractors and suppliers, lead root cause analyses, and act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

What we are looking for
  • Proven leadership in production or engineering, ideally within heavy engineering, manufacturing, or complex maintenance.
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial processes and maintenance operations.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
What's on offer
  • Competitive salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum.
  • Long‑term career progression in a stable and resilient organisation.
  • The chance to lead a high‑performing technical team and influence operational excellence.
  • A structured working week with a planned rotational roster for predictable scheduling.
  • This role is subject to standard pre‑employment checks, including references, medical and drug/alcohol screening, and background checks.
