We are looking for a Procurement Manager – Projects Works to join our UK&I team and play a key role in shaping and delivering our Project Works category strategy. The role will develop and manage a strong national and regional supply chain, lead high‑value outsourcing and tendering activities, and drive savings while ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the tender process: outsource, tender and negotiate, develop tender analysis and present reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Negotiate Sodexo terms & conditions, SLAs, pricing and services with suppliers to demonstrate the best overall value for money.
- Manage projects autonomously under the scope of responsibility and establish strong relationships with account teams on site.
- Ensure alignment and onboarding of key stakeholders within the FM platform and generate savings and increased revenue.
- Work with the category management team to support project delivery and growth for the UK&I, providing reporting and volume analysis to improve profitability.
- Negotiate single work agreements, secure best net prices, and work with the commercial team to deliver the best solution per client contract.
- Develop a structured preferred supply chain across all regions, monitor market trends, manage market risks and opportunities, and build strong relationships with top and critical suppliers.
- Continuously assess new supply chain options with the category manager to meet market demand.
- Manage suppliers and sub‑contractors, ensuring strong supplier relationship management and procurement of sub‑contractors across Hard FM.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in Project Works or Hard FM buying / category management.
- Ability to travel across the UK & Ireland; experience working in a multi‑cultural matrix environment.
- Experience managing procurement tenders and strong advanced Excel skills.
- Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Graduate calibre and working towards CIPS/ISM or equivalent qualification.
- Team player with excellent communication and influencing skills, financial acumen and result orientation.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in Private, Pharma, Health or Public Sector FM Operations; Hard FM/Projects Works/Professional Services Consultancy sub‑categories.
- Experience managing sub‑contractors across Hard FM.
- Knowledge of construction and civil project procurement methodologies.
