Job summary

Mears Group PLC in Thurrock is seeking an organised and proactive Planner to join the local repairs team. You will ensure repairs are scheduled efficiently, allocate works to operatives, and keep residents informed. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, customer focus, and timeliness.

You will work closely with residents, operatives, and colleagues, using IT scheduling tools and reporting to meet KPIs. A strong pension and generous leave are part of the package.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths is required.
• Experience working in fast-paced, pressurised environments.
• Strong IT skills with scheduling systems experience.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule operatives and subcontractors to ensure resources are used effectively.
• Monitor and update repair jobs daily, including appointments and overdue tasks.
• Support IT systems usage and ensure PDAs are updated correctly.
• Communicate clearly with residents, operatives and stakeholders.
• Work with administrators and supervisors to ensure a seamless service.
• Cover for other planners and attend meetings or training as required.
• Follow Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Assist with reporting and KPI monitoring.
