Job summary

Mears Group in Cambridge is seeking a Planner to join our local repairs team. You will schedule operatives and subcontractors, allocate work, and ensure repairs are completed quickly and to a high standard, acting as the main link between residents, operatives, and colleagues.

You will monitor repairs, update appointments, use IT scheduling tools, and help drive KPIs while prioritising urgent jobs and maintaining accurate records for audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning repairs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule operatives and subcontractors to deliver repairs on time.
• Monitor daily repair jobs and update appointments and overdue tasks.
• Assist with IT systems updates and data entry for schedules.
• Communicate clearly with residents, operatives and stakeholders.
• Support reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
• Cover for other planners when needed and attend meetings or training as required.
• Follow Health & Safety requirements at all times.
• Assist with prioritising emergency and urgent jobs.
