Print Finisher

Location: Nottingham

Shifts: 3-week rotating shift pattern (details below)

Salary: £14.50 + overtime

Pin Point Recruitment is proud to be recruiting for an experienced Print Finisher / Folder Operator to join a leading print manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience operating MBO or Heidelberg folding machines, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the correct job, version, and code are set up on the machine.
  • Complete make-ready and obtain “OK to Proceed” sign‑off from the Folding Cell Leader or Finishing Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of all work produced.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain output, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Work to optimum machine running speeds.
  • Support, guide, and utilise any machine assistants allocated to your line.
  • Complete ISO 9001 documentation accurately and on time.
  • Provide thorough shift handovers and share all relevant job information.
  • Report any breakdowns, faults, or abnormalities immediately.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and support to colleagues when needed.
  • Carry out daily and monthly preventative maintenance checks and complete required forms.
  • Monitor stock levels for machine parts and request replenishment where needed.
  • Report if targets are not being achieved or are unachievable.
Technical Requirements
  • City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Essential: Experience running MBO or Heidelberg folding machines.
Shift Pattern (3‑Week Rotation)
  • Week 1 – Early Shift: Monday‑Thursday 06:00 – 13:30, Friday 06:00 – 12:30
  • Week 2 – Late Shift: Monday‑Thursday 13:30 – 21:00, Friday 12:30 – 19:00
  • Week 3 – Night Shift: Monday‑Thursday 21:00 – 06:00 (No shift Friday)
Overtime Rates
  • Weekday overtime: x1.5
  • Weekend overtime: x1.3
