Job summary
WSP in the UK is seeking a Principal or Associate Tunnelling Engineer to join our Geotechnical and Tunnelling team. You will lead delivery on tunnelling projects, manage resources and finances, and mentor staff while liaising with clients and stakeholders across stages from feasibility to construction.
The role requires strong technical expertise in civil/geotechnical engineering, Chartered status, and experience with Eurocodes.
Qualifications
- Experience managing tunnelling projects with multi-disciplinary design coordination.
- Commercial awareness and strong client/contractor relationships.
- Proficiency with Eurocodes and design standards relevant to tunnelling.
Responsibilities
- Produce, check and approve technical deliverables for tunnels and shafts.
- Lead and contribute to tunnelling/geotechnical projects from feasibility to construction.
- Manage resources and budgets, mentor staff, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare technical proposals and support business development.
