Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of structural solutions for hydropower and dam projects across the UK. You will oversee concept to construction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements with offices in multiple cities, and the opportunity to shape critical energy infrastructure while developing technical capability within a leading global firm.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with ICE or IStructE.
• Experience leading structural design for hydropower and dam projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering delivery of major energy projects.
• Prepare calculations and design packages for regulatory submission.
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring within project teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
