Job summary

WSP is seeking a fire engineer to work across a mix of projects within the UK, from universities to high-rise towers, with global projects and a strong focus on fire safety in architecture.

You will liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present designs to authorities, and help inform the design team on changes to improve safety. The company provides development toward IFE registration and senior leadership support.

Qualifications

• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures to inform fire design.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Develop design information and advise on changes to increase fire safety.
• Support progression toward chartered status or equivalent qualifications.
