Job summary

WSP is recruiting a Principal Fire Engineer to lead rail and road infrastructure fire design across national and international projects from our Manchester or London offices.

You’ll guide design teams, review information with Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present to local authorities and Fire Service, and drive safety enhancements while supporting your professional registration journey with IFE and other bodies.

Qualifications

• Programme supports professional registration towards chartered status.
• Training includes technical report writing, project management, and influential communications.
• Professional development is tailored by senior leadership for chartership or related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Review design information and liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Identify safe design changes to enhance building fire safety.
