Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead environmental input across EIA screening, scoping reports, and Environmental Statements for major infrastructure projects. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and supporting business development within a hybrid UK-wide office network.

The ideal candidate will have a strong EIA background, familiarity with planning regimes, and a track record in consultancy delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) methods and planning legislation.
• Experience delivering consultancy services on infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping reports, and Environmental Statements across projects.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and our quality management procedures.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary inputs with engineering, planning, and client teams.
• Lead client relationships and internal delivery teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify opportunities for business development and fee/proposal development.
