Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead EIA projects within our UK Environment team. You will oversee environmental inputs from screening and scoping through Environmental Statements, coordinating across multiple regimes and stakeholders.

Based in a hybrid UK office network with travel across projects, you will guide quality, deliverables, and growth of environmental services, while mentoring team members and collaborating with senior professionals.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental discipline; Masters preferred; professional membership encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of EIA, environmental assessment methods and planning regimes.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly across projects and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide Expertise: manage environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping, and Environmental Statements.
• Ensure Quality: deliverables meet strict quality management standards.
• Project Management: plan resources and budgets for projects.
• Collaborate: work with integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes.
• Client Contact: manage relationships with clients and internal teams.
