Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead EIA projects within a flexible national team. The role is hybrid with offices including Leeds and Manchester, supporting diverse infrastructure developments across the UK.

You will manage environmental inputs for EIA screening, scoping, and Environmental Statements, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive client relationships and growth opportunities within a leading global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental discipline, Masters preferred
• Chartered Environmentalist status advantageous
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly across projects

Responsibilities

• Provide Expertise: manage environmental inputs to EIA reports and related documents across project life cycles
• Ensure Quality: deliverables meet high standards and governance procedures
• Project Management: manage resources and budgets with support
• Collaborate: work with integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes
• Client Contact: manage client relationships and internal delivery teams
• Growth: identify and lead business development opportunities and proposals
