Job summary

AECOM is seeking a chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre construction administration experience to run projects and take ownership for delivery. The successful applicant will lead a team of engineers and work with a broader multi-disciplinary group across data centres.

The ideal candidate will have data centre design exposure, experience with electrical services in data centres or industrial facilities, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent post-qualification experience).
• Chartered status or working towards CEng accreditation.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on large projects.
• Data centre design exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management for electrical scopes of data centre projects.
• Provide technical input to studies and design within area of expertise.
• Prepare contract documentation and specifications.
• Estimate costs and manage project budgets.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers in the group.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Attend design team meetings and site inspections as required.
