Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre construction administration experience to lead electrical scopes and project delivery. The role involves mentoring engineers, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and engaging with clients across projects globally.

The candidate should have post-graduate data centre design exposure, be familiar with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit, and hold or be pursuing IET/CIBSE accreditation.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with particular focus on data centres.
• Familiar with relevant regulations, standards and industry good practice requirements; able to produce designs for all stages of RIBA plan of work.
• Member of a professional accreditation body (IET or CIBSE); CEng accredited or working towards.
• Full clean driving licence and passport; willing and able to travel to projects regionally and internationally.
• Security clearance will be required to work on some projects.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management.
• Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Preparation of contract documentation and specifications.
• Estimating and cost control on projects.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines on assigned tasks.
• Compile technical project reports and present solutions to clients.
• Participate in development of technical proposals and attend design team meetings.
• Attend site inspection meetings and liaise with clients, contractors and design team members.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers in the group.
