Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer for our Data Centre Construction Administration team. Based in the UK, you will lead electrical design across projects and mentor engineers, while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

You will work with a hybrid model from London/Aldgate, St Albans, or project sites, traveling as needed including international assignments. Strong client engagement is essential.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with particular focus on data centres.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on large projects.
• Familiar with regulations and industry best practices; able to supervise sites and prepare feasibility reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope delivery on data centre projects and manage a team of engineers.
• Provide technical input to studies and design for staff’s area of expertise.
• Prepare contract documents and specifications; monitor estimating and cost control.
• Mentor junior engineers and present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Attend design team meetings and site inspections as required.
