A healthcare organization is seeking an innovative clinical psychologist to join their Community Learning Disability Team in Chorley & South Ribble. This part-time role requires previous experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities. The successful candidate will contribute clinically, provide assessments and supervision, and engage in research activities. We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic clinical psychologist to work within a busy and well‑respected Community Learning Disability Team. This part‑time post is based in the Chorley & South Ribble team and the post holder will be expected to work across the Central Locality, covering Greater Preston, Chorley & South Ribble and West Lancashire (Ormskirk base). Previous experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities is essential, although we welcome any applicant who may feel hesitant or wish to discuss their experience and are encouraged to contact us for an informal chat.
You will receive regular clinical and professional supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and benefit from being a member of the Learning Disability Psychology Specialty and the wider Psychological Professions Community within the Trust.
The Trust has close links with the Lancaster University Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and provides placements for trainees from Lancaster, Manchester and Liverpool. You may be expected to supervise a trainee if approached.
