Job summary

Academics Ltd. is seeking a passionate Primary Teacher for a supply role in Newcastle-under-Lyme. You will teach a mixed Year 2/3 class of 29 pupils, starting after October half term 2026. The initial booking is 12 weeks, with planning, assessment and dynamic lesson delivery to support progress and wellbeing.

You will be a confident educator with QTS, able to differentiate and manage a mixed-age class in KS1/KS2, delivering engaging lessons and building a positive classroom environment.

Supply Teaching - Full Class Teacher ResponsibilitiesAcademics are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher for a supply teaching opportunity at a welcoming primary school in the Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5) area.Starting after October half term 2026, this role will involve teaching a mixed Year 2/3 class of 29 pupils, including a group of higher-attaining Year 2 children learning alongside Year 3 pupils. The initial booking is for 12 weeks, offering an excellent opportunity for a confident teacher who enjoys adapting lessons to meet the needs of a mixed-age class.You will take on

full class teacher responsibilities , including planning, preparation, assessment, classroom management and delivering engaging lessons that support pupils' progress and development.

The Ideal Candidate

• The successful candidate will:Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Be confident teaching mixed year groups, ideally within KS1 and lower KS2.
• Be able to differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities, including higher-attaining pupils.
