Job summary

Academics are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher for a supply teaching opportunity at a welcoming primary school in the Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5) area. Starting after October half term 2026, this role will involve teaching a mixed Year 2/3 class of 29 pupils, including higher-attaining Year 2 pupils.

You will take on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment, and delivering engaging lessons that support progress.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for mixed year groups (KS1/Lower KS2).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 2/3 class.
• Assess pupil progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom management and safe learning environment.
• Prepare and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all abilities.
