Job summary

Academics are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher for a supply teaching opportunity at a welcoming primary school in the Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5) area.

Starting after October half term 2026, this role will involve teaching a mixed Year 2/3 class of 29 pupils, including higher-attaining Year 2 learners. You will take on full class teacher responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment, and delivering engaging lessons to support progress.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Be confident teaching mixed year groups, ideally within KS1 and lower KS2.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 2/3 class.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to pupils.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and pupil wellbeing.
• Adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities, including higher-attaining pupils.
